Alina Huseynli, Director

Alina Huseynli is the Director and Board Member of the Institute of Spa and Balneology, public research institution. She is the author of the flagship project “Spa Research Centre”, funded by the EU’s Just Transition Fund, which has established a unique multidisciplinary research platform covering medical, environmental, and socio-economic aspects of spa care. With a strong background in environmental studies and healthcare management, she is currently completing her doctoral studies, focusing on the role of spa care in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases.
She is also the author of scientific publications and a frequent speaker at international conferences. As an active member of the Scientific Committee of the European Historic Thermal Towns Association, she contributes to advancing spa research and health tourism across Europe. Her main objective is to reintroduce an evidence-based approach into spa care and position it as an integral part of modern preventive healthcare systems.
