Boris Žgomba, Owner and Managing Director of Uniline

Boris Žgomba is owner and Managing Director of Uniline Tourist Company, the largest Croatian tour operator, who has been successfully operating for more than twenty years on the Croatian and Southeast European markets. Uniline Company was founded in 1996 as an incoming touroperator for Croatia, and with years of business, the market expanded to other countries of South East Europe. Uniline is today recognized as a tourist company that offers complete tourist product, from accommodation services, transfers, excursions, rent a car, bus tours, air tickets, skiing, congress organization, sports events, special programs for individual guests, group arrangements, outgoing arrangements as well as numerous special programs. Since 2010, the company has been the holder of the Europcar franchise and has over 1,500 vehicles in its fleet, which makes it the top rental company in Croatia. At the beginning, the company counted only a few employees and today the Uniline team employs more than 200 employees working throughout Croatia as well as offices in BIH, Slovenia, Serbia, China (Shanghai) and South Korea (Seoul) with agents in Japan, Korea and Thailand.

Boris Žgomba has started his long-term business career in the tourism sector more than thirty years ago and today he is considered the leader and creator of tourist trends in Croatia and the region. Annually, his company organise vacation for more than 350,000 guests from all over the continent and this number grows year after year. Mr Žgomba is involved in tourism at national and international level. He is actively involved in numerous organizations and associations for the development and promotion of Croatia’s tourism and economy. Many years of successful personal work and the work of Uniline Company have been awarded with the final prize of the EC Entrepreneur of the Year 2015. He currently holds the position of the President of the Association of Travel Agencies at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Vice President of the European Association of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators (ECTAA) Communities, TZ Istrian County and TZ Pula. He served as President of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) during two mandates and one mandate of the President of the European Association of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators (ECTAA).
