Josip Zaher, vice President of Croatian Chamber of Commerce

Josip Zaher is vice president of Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) for tourism, trade and finance. Before that he was Executive Director of Agrokor and President of the Board in Konzum. From 1995 to 2013 he was Member of the Supervisory Board of the Ultra Group, Trgocentar, Croatia osiguranje and Konzum. He started as director of the company Japetić d.d., he initiated the merger of Croatian retail houses in Ultra Gros, and he also served as chairman of the Croatian Association of Trade Unions in the Employers’ Association.

He is a graduate economist, a road traffic engineer, and has a corporate governance certificate for members of the supervisory and board committees. He is currently attending a postgraduate marketing study at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. He is a member of the Tourist Council of the Croatian Tourist Board, representing the interests of the entire tourism sector – 13 professional associations and communities working in the Croatian Chamber of Economy’s Tourism Sector.
