Matko Marohnić

Matko holds a master degree from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka and he specialized strategic management in the hotel industry.
He started his career in the hotel industry and destination management system. Since 2008 he is part of the Horwath HTL team as advisor. He has worked on a number of projects primarily related to the strategic development of tourism and master destination planning at national, regional and local levels. Areas of his expertise relate to the development of tourism products and experiences, the improvement of destination management systems, the design of innovative tourism infrastructure projects and the integration of competitiveness programs into destination development plans.
Some of the projects that Matko was part of the project team are: Destination Management Plan of Dubrovačko-Neretvanska County, Spatial Plan of Montenegro, Tourism Development Strategy of Trebinje, Tourism Development Strategy of Ljubljana, Establishment of the National Tourism Organization and Congress Office of the Sultanate of Oman, Tourism development master plan of Gorski kotar, Tourism Development Strategy of Mali Lošinj and Cres, Market analysis, development of tourist products and marketing strategy of southern Albania and others.
