Luka Burilović, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy
Luka Burilović was elected to be President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in April 2014. During his long-term career he worked in Management of the public sector as well as in the private sector. In the period from 2008 to 2014 he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sladorana d.d. Županja. During 2004 he worked as Minister of Agriculture Forestry and Water Management Assistant. He was awarded with the Monument to the Homeland War in which he participated from 1990 to 1996. At that time he worked as the owner and chief executive of Agrotehna Lipovac and as deputy mayor of Nijemci Municipality.
Currently he is President of the Croatian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce – ICC, Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce – Eurochambres, Member of the Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation of the Croatian Academy of Science and Arts, Member of the University Council of the University of Zagreb and Member of the Council of the University college Effectus.
He is also the author of numerous scientific and professional papers in the field of economics.
