László György
Minister of State for Economic Strategy and Regulation of Republic of Hungary
György László, PhD is Minister of State for Economic Strategy and Regulation in the Ministry for Innovation and Technology, associate professor at John von Neumann University and assistant professor at ELTE University.
Until his appointment as Minister of State he served as chief economist at Századvég, the largest think tank in Hungary working together with the Prime Minister’s Office and the incumbent government. György was also the director of PADMA (Pallas Athene Domus Mentis Foundation) which is the public endowment fund of John von Neumann University. György lectures on economic policy, foreign economic policy and international relations theory at John von Neumann University and ELTE University for BA, MA and MBA students. György earned an international Master’s degree at Hochschule St. Gallen, Switzerland (2004) in the framework of the Community of European Management Schools program, an MBA (2008) and a PhD (2013) at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
His newest book titled Creating Balance – the Mission of Economic Policy was launched at the end of 2017 in Hungarian and was released in English in 2019. The book sets up the diagnosis of the global economy, gives feasible answers on the challenges and explains Hungarian economic policy measures and opportunities in this global context.
