Siniša Miljević, Chief executive, IRTA
Siniša Miljević completed his marketing studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Rijeka and postgraduate studies at Informatics and Management at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb.
He has experience in the private and public tourism sector of Istria as the largest Croatian tourist destination.
From 2006 to 2007 he is the head of online sales at Uniline, the leading company in the travel agency and tour operator sector in Croatia. In 2007 he became the head of e – marketing and head of E – Istra project at the Istrian County Tourist Board. Since then, he became the manager of online marketing at the Istra Tourist Development Agency (IRTA d.o.o.), where he has been Director since 2013.
IRTA d.o.o. is a unique company that is characterized by the private and public ownership of leading hotel companies in Croatia and Istria County, which manage development projects of interest to the private as well as the public sector.
The e – marketing department is responsible for the overall management of the electronic communication channels of the destination, as web portal istra.hr, the contact and sales center Halo Istra, management of the one hundred hot spots system and the mobile portal and others.
The Department for the Development of Cultural and Experimental Tourism is implementing the project Istra Inspirit, an award-winning and innovative project that has been profiled as a unique tourist product that revives the legends, tales and myths of Istria in authentic locations for 6 years now.
The Bike & Outdoor Segment Division guides and coordinates destination activities in this area, such as, Istra Bike & Bed products, maintenance of cyclotourism education, analysis and guidance on improving road cycling routes, organization of destination fairs, preparation of outdoor product development (trails, climbing, kayaking) as well as a number of others.
Results IRTA d.o.o. best demonstrate the open and successful cooperation of the private and public tourism sector of Istria with the aim of increasing the quality of the destination service and improving and identifying the image of the destination as the tourist leader in the region.
